Assemblyman Braunstein Announces Winners of Mother’s Day Essay and Poetry Contest

Bayside, NY – Assemblyman Edward C. Braunstein (D-Bayside) is proud to announce the winners of his annual Mother's Day Essay & Poetry Contest for students in grades two through five. They are:
- 2nd grader: Maximus Rodriguez, Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy in Floral Park; poem untitled
- 3rd grader: Kyle Cyril Moreno, Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy in Floral Park; essay untitled
- 4th grader: Nailah Dunning, P.S. 159 in Bayside; essay titled, "Why Mothers Are So Special!"
- 5th grader: Emma Rampersaud, P.S. 115 in Floral Park, essay titled, "The Reason My Mom is My Whole World"
“Maximus, Kyle, Nailah, Emma, and each of their families and teachers should be very proud of their award-winning compositions, which were well-written, creative, and heartwarming,” said Assemblyman Ed Braunstein. “Thank you to all the students from schools throughout Northeast Queens who submitted entries to my office’s annual contest. I wish everyone a happy and safe summer!”
Each grand prize winner received an Amazon gift card and a New York State Assembly Certificate of Merit. All entrants received a participatory certificate.
