Gandolfo on End Of 2021 Assembly Session

“My first year as an assemblyman was certainly a challenge, and with the Assembly Majority controlling the direction of legislative discussion, there are several issues I am still concerned about. The governor’s impeachment investigation is ongoing, he still holds emergency powers despite the emergency being over, police have been hamstrung by a progressive sect of the Majority and kids are still forced to be in masks despite the science saying it is unnecessary. Some great strides for restaurants and small businesses were made, and I’m proud of the role I played in making sure they had the freedom to operate normally once again, but after 2021, New York has a long way to go before we can get back to normal.”
