Gallahan Secures $50,000 for the Town of Cuyler

Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan (R,C-Manchester) announced he secured $50,000 in CREST Grant Funding for the Town of Cuyler to renovate the old Train Depot into a new Town Office. This grant will contribute to the adaptive reuse of this historic building, which will continue to serve the community for generations to come. Funds will be used to add spray insulation and wiring, which are both essential for the building to operate. Beyond serving as a Town Office, the space will serve as a community hub hosting various public meetings, educational presentations and cultural events.

“It is my honor to represent the Town of Cuyler in the New York State Assembly. This community is home to a strong, close-knit community with a rich history and deep connection to its past. Historic conservation and adaptive reuse are important to the town’s leadership, who are focused on preserving their heritage for generations to come. I am proud to have secured this funding, which will go a long way towards enabling the town to better serve its residents and realize its long-term vision,” said Assemblyman Gallahan.

“Securing this grant is a major step forward for the Town of Cuyler. Restoring and repurposing the old Train Depot into a functional Town Office ensures that we can better serve our residents while preserving an important part of our town’s history. We appreciate Assemblyman Gallahan’s support in helping us move this project forward for the benefit of our community,” said Town of Cuyler Supervisor Lou Anne Randall.
