Mikulin on Assembly Majority’s One-House Budget

A Statement from Assemblyman John Mikulin (R,C-Bethpage)

“Although I support the funding for our schools and libraries, as well as the tax relief provided, I cannot support the budget proposal put forth by the Assembly Majority. Not only does it increase spending to an unsustainable level by nearly 14 percent, it does nothing to help offset the skyrocketing costs New Yorkers are faced with at the pump, on essentials like groceries and personal care items. I am hopeful that as negotiations continue, some of these priorities will find their way into the final agreement. But on this plan, I must vote no.”
