Mikulin on the 2023 State of the State

A Statement from Assemblyman John Mikulin (R,C-Bethpage)

“The last thing New Yorkers need is more broken promises from Albany, but until this year’s budget is enacted that is what speeches like we heard today amount to be. New Yorkers need action, not talk. While crime has swept across our state and New Yorkers have felt less and less safe in their own communities, Gov. Hochul and one-party rule in Albany has failed to act. Inflation costs continue to push people out of their homes and out of state. The price of gasoline is skyrocketing again, and yet the governor will not extend the gas tax exemption. Empty words mean nothing. We need leadership, and leadership means action.”
