Assemblyman John Mikulin (R,C-Bethpage) was proud to stand with Sens. Steve Rhoads, Kevin Thomas and Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick, Assemblywoman Taylor Darling, Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) Interim President and CEO Megan Ryan and local health care heroes at a press conference in Albany last week to support the call for aid in the state budget. NUMC is important to the 17^th Assembly District and its residents because NUMC provides health care to all. Funding needs to be provided to NUMC so dedicated staff can continue to provide life-saving treatment.

“Many Nassau County residents rely on NUMC,” said Mikulin. “NUMC provides state-of-the-art health care and treatment to our indigent populations. NUMC has seen substantially reduced aid totaling over $300 million since 2017, causing a financial hardship that can lead to a health care crisis if not corrected. I call for the Governor to provide monetary aid to NUMC that will keep this remarkable medical center standing for years to come.”
