Mikulin: State Legislature Should Act to Protect LI Water Customers

A Statement from Assemblyman John Mikulin (R,C,I-Bethpage) Regarding the New York American Water Company Study by the State Department of Public Service

“For too long people in Nassau County have been paying exorbitant charges to have the basic necessity of water at their home or business. This study confirms what we already knew, and that’s why I support municipalization of the water company. Toward this, I am calling on my colleagues in the state Legislature to take immediate action to pass this legislation and protect the people of Long Island from price gouging on this life essential resource. Additionally, I would like to thank all the members of the public who participated in the virtual public hearings on this matter. Your voices have been heard, and please know I am continuing to advocate for you.”
