Lemondes Calls For End To Bail Reform
Assemblyman John Lemondes (R,C,I-Lafayette) joined with Assembly and Senate Minority today to call for an end to bail reform and the dangerous effects it has had on civil society. A strong proponent of public safety and law enforcement, Lemondes says the state is ‘past due’ on making decisions to ensure security for citizens.
“I know that what makes a society strong is a thriving economy, a strong military and a committed and resourced local police force,” Lemondes said. “Here in New York, progressives are hampering our ability to be strong by enacting policies that give reoffenders and criminals the chance to cause further damage to us all. It’s time we bring an end to this, and that starts with continued debate, data collection and policy change.”
