Assemblymember Jonathan Jacobson (D-104) recently announced $10,000 in funding to support educational programming for the Newburgh Urban Farm and Food Initiative (NUFFI).

"Newburgh Urban Farm is more than a farm within the City of Newburgh, providing fresh food to residents and food pantries. It provides opportunities for young people to explore the world outside of their neighborhood and develop skills that will help them no matter what career they choose,” Jacobson said. “I was glad to secure this $10,000 grant to help Newburgh Urban Farm with its educational programs."

The organization, which operates Downing Park Urban Farm in Newburgh, offers agricultural education and employment programs for local youth.
