Do you support the legalization and taxation of recreational marijuana for adult use?

The 2020-21 state budget included changes to the stateís bail reform laws which took effect earlier this year. Assemblymember McMahon fought for these changes, which significantly expanded the list of crimes that are eligible for cash bail. Do you support these changes?

Do you believe that certain terminally ill patients who are mentally competent should be able to request a physicianís help for medical aid in dying?

Do you support allowing unregistered eligible voters to register and vote on the same day?

Last year, New York State passed a law banning single-use plastic bags under most circumstances. Do you support the bag ban and other proposals to limit single-use disposable materials?

The world's leading scientists are working on creating a vaccine to stop the spread of COVID-19, a virus that has already killed over 100,000 Americans. If a vaccination to stop the spread of this deadly disease is created, who should be required to get it:

Amherst and Pendleton rely upon volunteer firefighters to keep us safe. If a firefighter is injured while on duty and cannot work at his or her regular job, the firefighter is eligible for disability benefits -- however, the disability benefits have not been increased since the 1970s. Assemblymember McMahon has introduced legislation which would increase the disability benefits so that they are more in line with the current cost of living. Do you favor this legislation?

Many schools that teach sex education do not include any discussion of what constitutes "consent" to sexual activity. Assemblymember McMahon has introduced legislation that would require schools that already have a sex education curriculum to include age-appropriate discussion of what constitutes "consent" to reduce the incidence of rape and unwanted sexual advances. Do you favor this legislation?

The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated the state's finances and threatened the state's ability to fund vital services. One way to increase state revenue is to raise taxes on the wealthiest New Yorkers. Do you favor increasing the state income tax?

New Yorkers - as individuals, employers, and taxpayers - have experienced a rapid rise in the cost of health care and coverage in recent years. This increase has resulted in a large number of people without health coverage. A proposal like the New York Health Act (A5248) would create a universal single payer health plan to provide comprehensive health coverage for all New Yorkers. Do you favor such an approach to health care in New York?
