Brown: New York’s Economic Outlook Concerning and Must be Addressed Immediately

A Statement from Assemblyman Keith P. Brown (R,C-Northport) on Tax Day Press Conference.

“What we are seeing throughout New York is an economic crisis that is steadily driving more and more people out of state with each passing year. Taxes, inflation, debt and misplaced government spending have rendered our state an unaffordable money pit from which it is growing increasingly difficult to financially recover. As state lawmakers, we cannot bury our heads in the sand and make false promises to constituents that eventually everything will work out. Instead, we need to finalize our state budget, get things back on track so we can relieve the crushing tax burden weighing heavily on New York families and form solutions that will combat inflation and help strengthen our state economy for the future.”
