Brown: The State Must Act to Prevent Future Vehicle Collisions
Assemblyman Keith P. Brown (R,C-Northport) attended a press conference in Albany on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, to help introduce and promote Assembly Bill A.3938, also known as the ‘Alexander John Smullen Traffic Safety Memorial Law.’ This bill would establish a traffic safety memorial sign program to publicly memorialize the victims of fatal vehicle collisions and also help raise awareness about the serious consequences of impaired, reckless or distracted driving.
“I am proud to support a bipartisan law like this one that will not only memorialize victims whose lives were taken too soon but will also help raise awareness about how important it is to be cautious, alert and responsible behind the wheel. I am hopeful this piece of legislation will help prevent future vehicle collisions statewide and keep both drivers and pedestrians safe from harm.”
