Byrne Welcomes Rev. Casey Carbone to Give Opening Prayer

Assemblyman Kevin Byrne (R,C,I,Ref-Mahopac) welcomed Rev. Casey Carbone to Albany on February 11, where he gave the opening prayer for the Assembly that day. Carbone, a pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Mahopac, is passionate about the convergence of life and faith and the integration of academics into church practices.

Rev. Casey Carbone is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and Calvin College. Having worked with congregations in both the U.S. and his home country of South Korea, Carbone became interested in the different ways that people experience God around the world.

“I’d like to thank Rev. Casey Carbone for not only taking the time to give the opening prayer but also for his work in our various communities,” said Byrne. “I want to extend my gratitude to Casey for being here today. I know he will continue to make a positive impact through his faith, his interactions with other people, and by increasing collaboration among the interfaith community in New York State.”
