Byrne Provides Hand Sanitizer to First Responders of Yorktown
Assemblyman Kevin Byrne (R,C,Ref-Mahopac) delivered hand sanitizer at the Yorktown Police Department, alongside Yorktown Town Supervisor Matt Slater and Yorktown Councilman Ed Lachterman on Friday, June 19, 2020. A total of 24 one-gallon bottles and 200 two-ounce spritzer bottles were supplied. The sanitizer was accepted by Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps Captain Rick Davin, Yorktown Heights Fire District Department Chief Derek Grisanti and Mohegan EMS Lieutenant Ashley Lape.
During these difficult times, it is important that we take care of those who are working hard to take care of our communities, said Byrne. Our amazing first responders, our police, fire, and EMS, are all there when we need them most. Its important they have the necessary tools to take care of themselves so they can take care of others. As we start to re-open New York, it is crucial we continue to practice safe habits so we can stay healthy and safe. That means we must also stay clean. Thank you to all our first responders for continuing to sacrifice so much in order to keep our communities safe.
