Assemblywoman Jean-Pierre: Town of Babylon Receives $1.8 Million for Water Infrastructure Improvement Projects

“Earlier this year, I fought to include critical funding for wastewater infrastructure improvements in the state budget. I am excited that the Town of Babylon will receive $1.8 million in state grants, to be used for the consolidation and upgrade of three deficient privately owned water systems into one publicly owned system, the construction of a new treatment plant and new transmission and distribution mains. Water is one of our most valuable resources and this investment will greatly improve the quality of life of our community while providing much-needed safeguards to this vital resource.”
