New York State Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre (D-Lindenhurst) recently met with 10-year-old Adrianna Aloni to congratulate her on winning her first international beauty pageant title. Adrianna, of Lindenhurst, recently achieved the title of International United Miss Junior Preteen. International United Miss is a scholarship-style pageant system which prides itself on recognizing the accomplishments of competitors both on and off the pageant stage. The competition includes a personal judges’ interview, community service and involvement, and on-stage performances.

Since the age of four, Adrianna has volunteered her time and helped various charities raise money such as The Giving Doll, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and March of Dimes. She has also donated hundreds of dollars’ worth of food and toys to Long Island Cares and volunteers her time at events with the Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth, helping to raise awareness for fostering and adopting children on Long Island. To recognize Adrianna’s success, Jean-Pierre presented her with an official New York State Assembly citation.

“Adrianna’s motivation and compassion for others is inspiring, and rarely do we meet someone at age 10 who has already dedicated as much time helping people as Adrianna has,” said Jean-Pierre. “It was such a pleasure meeting her and learning about all of her work and accomplishments, and I know she has a very bright future.”

Adrianna’s achievement entitles her to various luxuries, including an all-inclusive tropical vacation, a trip to Washington DC for a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, and a Miss America weekend that includes a ticket with prime seating to the live Miss America show.
