Assemblywoman Joyner Calls for Transparency in the Tragic Bronx NYPD Shooting Death of Kawaski Trawick

Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner (D-Bronx, 77th AD) is urging the immediate release of the body camera footage of all NYPD officers who responded to the scene of the fatal shooting. Mr. Trawick’s family and the public has a right to know exactly what took place, Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner (D-Bronx, 77th AD) said.

“It has been more than two weeks since Mr. Trawick was shot and killed by officers and we want answers,” Assemblywoman Joyner said. “Many questions remain unresolved. His loved ones and our community deserve full disclosure and complete transparency as this case has raised serious concerns regarding how the NYPD interacts with those living with mental health issues.

Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner represents the 77th Assembly District, which includes the Claremont, Concourse, Highbridge, Mount Eden and Morris Heights sections of The Bronx.
