"From your testimony there is a request for more resources, funding…Is there any number or statistic on how many cases are left unresolved…because you know DOL (Department of Labor) is overwhelmed with so many request for them to investigate?"  asked Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner of Richard Blum, Staff Attorney for the Employment Law Unit at The Legal Aid Society, during the public hearing held by the Assembly's Standing Committees on Labor and Judiciary to examine challenges in the prevention and adjudication of wage theft in New York State.
