New York State Assemblyman Michael Durso (R-Massapequa Park) held his 5th Annual Women Distinction Ceremony on Saturday, October 11th at Marjorie Post Park Community Center in Massapequa Park. The celebration recognized women who have demonstrated a commitment to service, leadership, and making a positive impact on their communities. The eleven honorees are business owners, influential leaders in their profession, volunteers, mothers, wives and role models from diverse backgrounds and fields, who lead with purpose, passion, and conviction.
βIt was an honor to acknowledge these eleven remarkable women who have distinguished themselves as outstanding leaders through their professional endeavors, community involvement, and by empowering other women and girls,β said Assemblyman Durso. βI want to thank the Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino for joining me in congratulating the honorees and the Marjorie Post Community Park staff. And a special thank you to Massapequa High School student Tiffany Gfrerer for performing the National Anthem.β
The Women of Distinction ceremony celebrates women for their achievements and looks to inspire others, particularly the younger generation, by showcasing examples of courage, vision, and dedication.
