Fitzpatrick Says Long Island Taxpayers Will be Priority in 2017 Legislative Session
Statement from Assemblyman Michael Fitzpatrick (R,C,I-Smithtown)
January 4, 2017
“As we begin the 2017 Legislative Session, I will prioritize the interests of Long Island taxpayers when evaluating each measure proposed by the governor and Assembly Majority. New York must ‘live within its means’ so families and small-business owners can keep more of their own earnings to support themselves and invest back into our communities. New York government must deal with the structural cost drivers that continue to increase an already too heavy tax burden.”
