New Roads for a New Century in Bellerose Village

Bellerose Village, NY – On Saturday, January 11, 2020 Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, Mayor Ken Moore, and his Road Project team toured the newly renovated roads on the west end of Bellerose Village. Mayor Moore thanked Assemblywoman Solages for securing funds in Albany through the NYS Dormitory Authority SAM Grant for the 2019 Bellerose Village Road Reconstruction Project. Mayor Moore stated, “In 2018, Assemblywoman Solages successfully secured a $125,000 SAM grant to help pay for the much-needed Road Project as the infrastructure throughout the Village was aging. We could not have achieved this great milestone without her help and support; the residents of Bellerose Village are very grateful.”

Mayor Ken Moore, Deputy Mayor Juliano, Trustees Dorry and Driscoll, Highway Commissioner Braun, and the Road Project team joined in on the walking tour. Assemblywoman Solages expressed her support of this significant capital infrastructure improvement project. She remarked, “As Bellerose Village prepares to celebrate its 100th Anniversary in 2024, we are committed to helping the officials and residents of Bellerose Village rebuild their aging infrastructure. We will continue our efforts to enhance our roadways for sustainability and pedestrian safety throughout the 22nd Assembly District.” Mayor Moore and The Bellerose Village Board of Trustees are preparing a ten-year plan for upgrades of all of the roads and curbs to address roadbed conditions, the catch basin storm drain system, and the beloved Shade Tree canopies village-wide.
