Today, Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R,C,I-Bay Ridge) hosted a press conference to announce her upcoming CPR training program. The free program, led by Professional HeartStarters, will teach attendees the basics of CPR. The event will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Academy, 337 74th Street.

“It is my hope that many in the community will join me to learn these critical, basic skills,” said Malliotakis. “CPR can make the difference between life or death for someone in need during an emergency, and the more people who know the skill, the more likely a loved one will be saved.”

“We’re so thankful that Assemblywoman Malliotakis has asked us to join her for this event. Professional HeartStarters is headquartered right here in Bay Ridge, and it’s our goal to provide quality CPR and First Aid training to our community because each and every one of us can make a difference in someone's life if we’re trained in the proper skills. We’re looking forward to a great event!” said Kevin Hazel, Director of Professional HeartStarters.

Attendees should note that this class does not provide official CPR certification, but will teach basic CPR. Anyone interested in attending this CPR training program should call Assemblywoman Malliotakis’ office at 718-987-0197 or email Space is limited.
