“Today I join my colleagues in the Assembly to help put money back into the pockets of hardworking families and fight against income inequality in New York State. For too long, our tax system has helped the rich get richer with massive tax cuts while the middle class struggles to make ends meet. Today’s legislation will broaden the millionaire’s tax rate to ensure the wealthy pay their fair share while cutting taxes for the middle-class and expanding eligibility for the Earned Income Tax Credit.
