Smullen Invites the Public to Volunteer for Venison for Vets and Seniors.
Assemblyman Robert Smullen (R,C- Mohawk Valley and the Adirondacks) has invited residents to volunteer and distribute donations for this year’s Venison for Veterans and Seniors of Fulton and Montgomery Counties. This year’s event will be held on April 5 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Checkers Out Speedway located at 2299 NY-30A, Johnstown, NY.
“This truly is one of my favorite events to take part in, and I invite the public to join us at this great occasion. Our veterans and seniors have made countless contributions to our community, so to be able to give back to them is the least we can do. I look forward to seeing everybody there,” said Smullen.
“I would also like to thank our partners at both the Fulton and Montgomery Counties’ Offices for the Aging, as well as Tom Georgia, Don Wicksell of Kingsboro Lumber, Montgomery County Sheriff Smith, Fulton County Sheriff Giardino, all law enforcement, EMS and fire crews that help deliver the venison,” concluded Smullen.
Smullen is also asking for civic groups to nominate veterans and seniors to receive a donation, as well as asking any veteran or senior who would like to receive a donation to call the Fulton County Office for the Aging at 518-735-5650 or the Montgomery County Office for
Aging, Inc, at 518-843-2300.
