Smullen Announces Next Venison For Veterans Event Will Likely Take Place In April 2024
Assemblyman Robert Smullen (R,C-Mohawk Valley and the Adirondacks) is partnering with the Fulton and Montgomery Office for the Aging, the Fulton and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and local community groups to help provide venison for veterans and seniors. Smullen is eager to help continue this community-based program, which is well known for its many participating hunters and game clubs.
“I believe partnering with hunters, fish and game clubs and local businesses to donate venison is a simple but impactful way we can give back to members of our community,” said Smullen.
The donated game has been kept in freezer storage through a partnership with Kingsboro Lumber Company. At this time, donations are still being accepted. Veterans and seniors can call the Fulton County Office for the Aging at (518) 736-5650 and the Montgomery County Office for the Aging at (518) 843-2300 to leave their name, address, zip code and telephone number. A scheduled delivery will be announced at a later date.
“I am looking forward to helping those who donate to connect with those who are in need,” concluded Smullen.
