Smullen Hosts Successful Annual Veterans Picnic in Gloversville

Assemblyman Robert Smullen (R,C-Mohawk Valley and the Adirondacks) hosted his annual Veterans Picnic at the Concordia Club, bringing together local veterans, their guests and community supporters for an evening of good food and gratitude.

The free event drew a strong turnout of men and women who served our country, along with family and friends who came to say thank you.

“As a former Marine who spent 24 years in uniform, this picnic is one of the most meaningful events I host every year,” said Smullen. “Seeing so many of our local heroes together tonight, sharing a meal and stories, reminded me why we can never thank them enough. I’m grateful to everyone who came out and to all those who helped make this day a success.”

Smullen thanked Paul Catucci, Brenda Coon, Rob Hutchinson, and Beth Geletta for their efforts, along with the Concordia Club, local veterans service organizations, volunteers, and everyone who joined in supporting the men and women who served.
