November 16, 2017

Assemblywoman Sandy Galef invites her constituents to attend her screening of “She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry” on Tuesday, December 5th, 2017, from 6:30-9 pm in the Budarz Theater at the Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Avenue, Ossining, NY. The event includes the 90 minute film with a conversation to follow with three women in Assemblywoman Galef’s district.

“She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry” follows powerful women as they start the second wave feminist movement in the 1960s and 70s, and gives an insight into the decisions that went into moving women’s rights in our country forward. After the film, members of three generations of women in one family Dru van Hengel, Ginny Loughlin, and Emily Loughlin will discuss their experiences.

“I hope to see many of my constituents on December 5th to join us for a conversation about the status of women in our society,” said Galef. “Women make up half of the population, and still encounter wage inequality, the proverbial ‘glass ceiling,’ and prejudices about abilities and capabilities. We have come so far in the past 100 years since gaining the right to vote, and we have so far still to go.”

No RSVP is needed.
