Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C-Pulaski) awarded 25 area high school students from 10 school districts with the Community Service Youth Recognition Award. This award recognizes outstanding high school students who volunteer and work tirelessly to serve and enrich communities throughout the 120th Assembly District. Nominations were sought through local school districts for student leadership and community service contributions. 

“I am honored to distribute the Community Service Youth Award to so many thoughtful students who have dedicated their time to serve others and make the community a better place. Your volunteerism serves as an example of generosity, selflessness, and hard work. Whether it’s lending a helping hand at your local food pantry, mentoring other students or coaching youth sports, your kindness goes a long way and inspires others to do the same,” said Leader Barclay. 

Recipients of the award this year were: Pulaski CSD Vivian Lasell, Ayden Roberts and Andrew Cusson; from Phoenix CSD Cole Bailer, Matthew Caltabiano and Julian Burns; from Oswego CSD Addison Stepien, Cooper Therrien, Margaret O’Leary; from Central Square CSD Abigal Grevelding, Austin Logan, Richard Mercer; from South Jefferson CSD Landon Porter; from Fulton CSD Tyler Ingersoll, AnnaRose Odett, Summer Lee Trevino; from Hannibal CSD Sean Taylor, Abigail Stokes, and Alison Hallinan; from Belleville Henderson CSD Faith Graham, Nicholas Babcock, and Reagan Riordan; from Altmar Parish Williamstown CSD Jason Bobanick, from Mexico CSD Riley Gagnier and Ryan Jackson.
