Statement from Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay On the Anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks
Today we honor the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001 and all those impacted by the tragic events of that day. The senseless acts of terror 23 years ago shook the very core of our country and changed the course of history. But in the face of adversity, Americans stood as one united people to support one another and rebuild together.
On this day of somber reflection, we pause to pay tribute to the innocent victims and their families, who will forever carry the weight of Sept. 11, 2001. Let us also remember the incredible bravery of the first responders who risked everything to save others. Their courage and resilience will never be forgotten.
As proud Americans, we will always cherish our fallen heroes and remember the spirit of unity that emerged that day. God bless America.
