Baldwinsville Marching Band Honored By Assemblyman Barclay
Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I—Pulaski) recently presented the Baldwinsville Marching Band with an Assembly Resolution for capturing the Governor’s Cup in its New York State Field Band Conference Championship division this fall.
Barclay visited the school to congratulate the senior members of the marching band and to present the resolution (K846), which recently passed the Assembly, to the students.
“I am pleased to present this resolution to the Baldwinsville Marching Band for their hard work and dedication to their music, their school and to their community. The Baldwinsville Bees practiced long hours to be able to showcase their talents and win at competition. This is a victory for the whole community,” Barclay said.
The resolution states “Be it resolved that this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to congratulate the Baldwinsville Bees Marching Band upon the occasion of capturing the Governor’s Cup by placing 1st in the Large School Class II Division at the 2009 New York State Field Band Conference Championships and to wish the members success in all of their future endeavors.”
