Leaders Meet to Discuss Future of Birdseye
Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I—Pulaski) met with leaders from New York State, Oswego County and Fulton, as well as Sen. Patty Ritchie (R-Oswegatchie) today to discuss the future of the Birdseye Plant.
“I’m pleased we’re continuing an open dialogue with local officials to see what some of the options are for Fulton. The city has no doubt suffered losses in jobs and manufacturing in recent years. Though Birdseye has determined it will leave, having another vacant facility in our midst is not something anyone needs. We all want the same thing: to see jobs return to this city that already contains a skilled workforce and facilities to serve another employer. My hope is that we will continue to work as a team to attract a new business to the Birdseye location.”
