Barclay Congratulates Summer Reading Challenger
Gerritt Ossevoort, 5, from Fulton, was the first child to submit his completed summer reading challenge to Assemblyman Will Barclay’s office this year. He is pictured above with the Assemblyman at the Literacy Fair “One World, Many Stories,” which was held Saturday at the Oswego YMCA Armory. Gerritt read more than 40 days for 15 minutes or more during July and August. Assemblyman Barclay reminded kids and their parents if they have not already done so, to submit their Summer Reading Calendars to his office at 200 N. Second St., Fulton, N.Y. 13069. Those who do will receive a signed certificate from the Assemblyman. The Onondaga County Summer Reading Challenge participants are invited to a summer reading party at the Maxwell Memorial Library, 14 Genesee St., Camillus, on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 11:30 a.m.
