Barclay: #NY2A Day A Forum For Responsible, Law-Abiding Gun Owners And Sportsmen
On February 28, thousands of Second Amendment advocates, sportsmen, businesses and constituents will be joining Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I-Pulaski) at #NY2A Day in Albany, a rally and legislative day to protect the Second Amendment. Throughout the day, participants from across the state will meet with their representatives, attend a service to salute veterans and conclude with a rally in the West Capitol Park, beginning at 12 p.m. Barclay has been a vocal supporter of our sportsmen and law-abiding gun owners, voting against the NY SAFE Act and speaking out recently against proposed legislation to require gun owners to take out a $1 million liability insurance policy to continue possessing firearms.
“The voices of sportsmen and law-abiding gun owners have been ignored by many elected officials this year,” said Barclay. “#NY2A Day is a way for thousands to join together and make their voices heard in support of our Second Amendment and our shared tradition as sportsmen and responsible gun owners.
“I urge anyone who is interested in protecting the Second Amendment to join me in Albany on February 28. Together, we can send a message that the NY SAFE Act was an ill-conceived measure that needs to be eschewed in favor of legislation that better addresses violence in our communities.”
