Barclay and Assembly Minority Conference Meet with Fort Drum Commander in Albany
Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I—Pulaski) and members of the Assembly Minority Conference met with Major General Stephen J. Townsend, Commander of the Fort Drum 10th Mountain Division. Barclay joined his colleagues in Albany today to show his continued support for Fort Drum and improving infrastructure in the region. It was recently announced that the Pentagon is looking to reduce the Army’s size by 70,000 soldiers. A rally is taking place in Jefferson County on Friday where 3,000 people are expected to attend to protest the cuts that may take place at Fort Drum. Today is Fort Drum Advocacy Day in Albany.
