Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I-Pulaski) is encouraging interested constituents to participate in a New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) public comment period to assess telecommunication services in New York State.

“The PSC is seeking feedback from customers to find out their level of satisfaction with their telephone, cable, and broadband providers. In this quickly changing marketplace, it's important that consumers are protected and stakeholders and regulators hear from concerned citizens,” said Barclay. “I encourage you to participate if you have concerns about any of these services.”

The PSC has decided to extend its public outreach and has scheduled a public hearing in Syracuse on Thursday, Aug. 6 at Syracuse City Hall, Common Council Chambers, 233 East Washington St., Syracuse, New York 13202. An Informational Session will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a public statement hearing at 7 p.m. The hearings follow the PSC's recently published report on the state of telecommunications in New York.
