Barclay Reacts to 2017 State of the State CNY Address
Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I-Pulaski) released the following statement after Cuomo’s CNY Regional address
January 11, 2017
“I was pleased to hear the Governor wants to complete an independent study on the I-81 project because the redesign of this highway will influence Syracuse and the suburbs for years to come. We need to consider all of our options carefully before building. I was glad to hear the Governor wants to bring Uber to Upstate and look forward to when I can use it myself here. I have heard from many constituents who want to be able to use this service. In general, I look forward to learning more about the governor’s proposals but I have some concerns about some of the more liberal-leaning giveaways he’s talked about and the consequences they would have on taxpayers. The old adage rings true here: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”
