Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I—Pulaski) released the following statement today after both Entergy and Exelon announced that the sale of the plant was finalized. Ownership has officially been transferred to Exelon.

“Today marks a milestone for plant workers and the surrounding community. The finalized sale ensures the continued operation of FitzPatrick, which will keep hundreds of people employed regionally and help keep our energy sources diverse. I am pleased to see this sale finalized and look forward to the plant operating for many years."
