Barclay Welcomes 92-year-old WWII Navy Veteran to the Capitol
This week, Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I,Ref-Pulaski) introduced 92-year-old WWII Navy veteran Bob Green to the Assembly Chamber in Albany. Green lives in Volney, NY, where he has dedicated his life to helping those in the community. He is also the founder of the Green Team, a local organization that promotes good stewardship of the environment though their anti-littering campaign.
“It was a great honor spending time with Mr. Green in Albany and introducing him during session,” said Barclay. “Throughout his life, Mr. Green has demonstrated an unending will to do for others. I am forever grateful for his service to our nation in the Navy and for all he’s done to help people through volunteer work and his organization, the Green Team. Mr. Green’s kindness, determination and selflessness are all something we should strive for and he is a perfect representative of our Upstate communities.”
