Assemblyman Colton is Strongly Opposing the Proposed Homeless Shelter Location at 137 Kings Highway as he Continues Leading the Fight
Assemblyman William Colton (D – Gravesend, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach, and Dyker Heights) is continuing his fight against the proposed homeless shelter at the 137 Kings Highway location, Brooklyn, NY.
“On Friday, February 3rd, 2023, at 10:30 am, on the steps of New York City Hall, Assemblyman Colton together with the community, community leaders, and community organizations will, be having a rally against the proposed homeless shelter. We are not fighting against homeless people; we are demanding that the city administration must stop wasting money on developers through a web of third parties, LLCs, and companies that ultimately pass the cost on to taxpayers,” Colton stated.
“We demand permanent and affordable housing for homeless people, not a temporary one. Everyone who is interested to join us in this fight is urged to come. We need to voice our opinion. We will not stop fighting until we reach our goal,” Colton added.
