Assemblyman William Colton (D—Gravesend, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Dyker Heights) and City Councilmember Susan Zhuang (D—Bensonhurst, Bath Beach, Gravesend, Dyker Heights, Boro Park and Sunset Park), in conjunction with FIAO Brooklyn and the Chinese American Social Services Center (CASS) will be honoring community members who have served in the military at a Veterans Appreciation Day event, to be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Il Centro, 8711 18^th Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11214.

“Our veterans are a national treasure,” said Assemblyman Colton. “Every one of them has put his or her life on the line for our country, and should be saluted for their bravery and dedication, not only on Veterans Day but throughout the year.”

“Our veterans have sacrificed so much to safeguard our freedoms and we must do everything we can to honor their service,” stated Councilmember Zhuang. “Veterans deserve special recognition not only on Veterans Day, but every day. These brave men and women have put their lives on the line for this country and they warrant our utmost gratitude. I am honored to join Assemblyman Colton and our event co-sponsors FIAO and the Chinese American Social Services Center to recognize and honor the accomplishments of our great veterans.”
