Assemblyman Colton Speaks Out on the Despicable Terror Attack
Assemblyman William Colton (D Gravesend, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach, and Dyker Heights) speaks on the despicable terror attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand which impacted the lives of so many innocent people for the rest of their lives.
We must condemn all acts of hate and terrorism no matter where they occur. There is too much hate and violence throughout the world and too many lives have been impacted by hate. Nobody should live in fear. Mainly people should not be fearful to attend and pray at their houses of worship, said Colton.
A hate crime against any ethnicity is a despicable act and will not be ignored or tolerated. We must continue to work together and to ensure that an attack on any group will not divide us, but will make us all more strong-minded and work together for a better and safer world for all of us. We can never ignore acts of hate because such an attack on any group is an attack on us all, stated Colton.
