Assemblyman Colton Personally Delivers Hot Meals to the First Responders

Assemblyman William Colton (D – Gravesend, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Dyker Heights) along with the United Progressive Democratic Club, President Nino Magali has delivered yesterday April 7, 2020, over 200 hot meals to the FDNY, Engine 330 /Ladder 172, Engine 243 /Ladder 168, Engine 253, Battalion 43, Engine 245 /Ladder 161 and NYPD 60th and 62nd Precincts. We are very grateful for the generous donation to the Lawrence and Ryan Straschnow owners of the Dynasty Restaurant and Catering, located on Coney Island Avenue and corner of Avenue X. These guys came together in a time of need, to show that we are NY Strong and had delivered over 2,800 hot meals to the various hospitals all over NYC during the COVID-19 crisis.

"We've spent yesterday afternoon, with mask and gloves, bringing hot meals that were donated by the great Dynasty Restaurant &Catering former Restaurant Rasputin, to firehouses police stations in my district. It was important for these FDNY and NYPD heroes whose out daily to protect us all to hear a thank you from the community. They have not only risked their lives but also those of their families. Tomorrow Thursday, April 9, 2020, we will be delivering hot meals which will be donated by the famous Mama Rao's Ristorante & Party Room to the Maimonides Hospital to show our support and appreciation to the doctors and nurses who are risking their lives to save ours. At times like this, we need to stay together and be strong. God Bless America and us all," Colton stated.

"First of all, I would like to thank Division 8 of FDNY for helping us arrange today’s deliveries We had a very special day, and the opportunity to thank our first responders working the frontlines risking their lives through a pandemic, NYC FDNY who really hasn’t been thanked as much as they should be. Also a big thank you to our NY’s Finest NYPD. It was a great opportunity to personally thank the brave men and women for their services as first responders working the frontlines.
