Dear Neighbor,

As your Assemblyman, one of my top priorities is meeting the important needs of our community. This Constituent Outreach Guide outlines ideas we need to address to eliminate the hardships Nassau County residents face when filling our cars with gas, buying groceries, paying for expensive health care or when our taxes are due.

I will work diligently with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to ensure Long Island families are not left behind. We must offer real long-term solutions that will have a real impact on real people. Nassau County residents should not have to continue to endure living in the highest taxed state in the country.

I, along with my staff, am here to listen to you; to help you and to work for you. We can answer or address any concerns you may have regarding federal, state or local governments and how they can better work for you. I am committed to making Nassau County, a place where I also make my home, a better, more affordable place to live. It’s my honor to serve you and I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read my ideas.

Enough is Enough!

No one can escape the squeeze that is being placed on the average family. It is as expensive as ever to fill up our gas tanks, heat our homes and pay our outrageous property taxes. Just as bad, we need to dig deeper and deeper into our pockets to afford essential items like milk, bread and health care.

Buying a home is the biggest purchase that any family will ever incur. It’s a major investment, and has been made even more difficult by rising property taxes. To provide relief, we need to rein in spending. Taxes cannot be cut if spending keeps increasing. It’s that simple.

Costs continue to soar and there is no indication that this will stop. It’s one of the biggest expenses for families and businesses alike. We all need affordable and accessible health care, with a new emphasis on preventative care. We deserve top notch services to keep our loved ones healthy.

I believe that parents need to demand more from their schools for their children. Too often Albany throws record money at schools hoping it will solve problems. I want to work together with superintendents and teachers to find ways to deliver the best results for the next generation.

It’s time for Albany to get serious about helping hardworking families here in Nassau County. We don’t deserve to be taxed out of our homes. I’ll continue to fight for the relief we so desperately need!
