Assemblyman Ed Ra’s First Annual
Mammogram Screening

Recommended for women who are: 1) Over 40 who have not had a mammogram in over one year; and 2) Women who are asymptomatic (no problems)

Assemblyman Ed Ra, in conjunction with Nassau University Medical Center, will be kicking off Liz’s Day by offering mammogram screenings, information from specialists, and important steps you can take for early detection of breast cancer.

Ed Ra has supported legislation that provides assistance, aid and information in the battle against breast cancer:

  • Require the DEC to map breast cancer and pesticide links

  • Provide funding to community-based organizations to find cures for breast cancer

Held in memory of Elizabeth McFarland, who lost her battle with breast cancer, Liz’s Day has given over $500,000 to Cold Spring Harbor Labs. Activities include a book sale, children’s rides, auctions, instant win table, music, volleyball tournament, food, bake sale and MUCH more
