Ra Hosts First Identity Theft Seminar In Floral Park

Assemblyman Ed Ra (21st Assembly District) recently held his first annual Identity Theft Seminar at the Floral Park Library. Ra welcomed Kenny Heino from the Nassau County Consumer Affairs department who spoke about different ways individuals and families can protect themselves, and took questions from those in attendance. Ra noted that in an ever-increasing digital age it is more important than ever for all to protect themselves and their loved ones.

"The safety and security of an individual and their family is of highest priority to our community," said Ra. "It has become commonplace for many to communicate through email, pay bills on the internet, and share personal information over the world wide web. Unfortunately with that comes the risk of one's identity being stolen or compromised.

"The goal of my Identity Theft Seminars is to provide awareness of the public dangers that are out there and steps we all can take to prevent compromising the lives of our loved ones. My thanks to Kenny Heino from the Nassau County Community Affairs department for helping the community take steps to protect their identities."
