  3. There are approximately 14,000 pieces of legislation (bills) that are introduced each year.
  4. Of the 14,000 bills introduced each year, only 2,000 are acted upon and of those, only 800 are signed into law.
  5. The Governor has the power to veto any bill he chooses, without limitation.
  6. A veto can be overridden with a vote in support of the bill by 2/3 of the membership from each House (Senate and Assembly).
