Assemblywoman Lupardo & Homebuilders Announce
"Green Building 101" Program for Local Governments

Course will fulfill New York State training requirements
for members of planning and zoning boards

Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo (D-Endwell) and the Southern Tier Home Builders & Remodelers Association announced today the details for "Green Building 101," a free program they are sponsoring to help educate local governments, members of zoning and planning boards, and the public about green building. The program will also fulfill the New York State training requirement for members of planning and zoning boards. Mike McGowan, a Certified Green Professional and member of the Southern Tier Home Builders & Remodelers Association will be the instructor.

Green Building 101 will explore various green building programs, their similarities and differences, and the building sciences behind the principles of green building. In addition, it will explore green building opportunities available for builders, local governments, and the public. The program will also demonstrate programs used by local governments today to make their communities "greener."
