Correctional facilities are dangerous places to work! Closing these facilities as planned by the governor would add to the over-crowded conditions which already exist, thus making work much more hazardous for employees. Our brave correction officers and civilian employees deserve better.

Gary Finch joined with community leaders, members of the Department of Corrections and NYSCOPBA and stood up for the safety of those who work in correctional facilities. Because of their strong voice of opposition, these closings will be prevented.

Gary knows that the economy is struggling and that the Southern Tier cannot afford to lose any more jobs. He promises to continue to provide a strong voice in Albany to defend the best interests of those in the 123rd Assembly District.
