Expanding university programs
To capture the economic potential of Syracuse’s colleges and universities, Magnarelli continues
to work as chair of the Assembly Task Force on University-Industry Cooperation, securing
funding for developments such as:

$5 million for the RESTORE Center (Life Sciences Center at Syracuse University)

$125,000 for Syracuse University’s Commercialization Law Clinic

$14 million transferred from Syracuse University’s State loan obligations to local economic
community projects
