is a great way to help those less fortunate through the cold winter months.
Winter is coming and in Rochester we know that means cold temperatures and lake-effect snow. These conditions make it essential to have warm clothing and food in the pantry for the winter months. I have coordinated the Holiday Helping Hand Drive to ensure that Rochestarians have access to these necessities this winter.
I am partnering with the Dimitri House to help those in need have a warm and safe winter. The Dimitri House’s mission is to “welcome the stranger, feed the hungry and shelter the homeless.”
I ask that anyone who has new or gently used scarves, hats, gloves, socks, or any non-perishable food, toiletries or paper products to kindly drop them off at my district office, 840 University Ave., Rochester, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Nov. 28 to Dec. 16. Please help those who are less fortunate guard themselves from the coming winter weather.
If you have any questions about the Holiday Helping Hand Drive or any other important community issue, please contact my office at 244-5255.
